A friend's infant died

One of my hubby's friends just lost a baby soon after it was born.

Our hearts are so heavy for them right now.  This is the fourth baby that has been born still or died shortly after birth that we have known.

I would like to support them by sending them some online resources.  I don't know them well enough to do much else.  I was wondering if any of you have suggestions?

  1. I suggest glowinthewoods.com. Amazing writing, heartfelt expression, and solidarity. So sorry to hear about this loss. There are no words, there is no explanation. Only sadness.

  2. I don't have any suggestions, and I can't even imagine, but my heart is certainly with them.

  4. Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry to read this. Girl, at first I thought you were referring to your baby ... Don't scare me like that! I will be praying for your friends; ugh, so heartbreaking. :(

    1. Didn't mean for that to happen. I changed the title.

  5. I second glowinthewoods. she doesn't even have to post there, it is open for reading. it so happens at this time there are quite a few neonatal loss parents there.

  6. Oh no. I'm so sorry. I third Glow In The Woods. http://stillstandingmag.com also has good articles and a variety of contributors.

Also, if you live somewhat close to them and if you feel up to it, you could bring over food. We deeply appreciated not having to take care of these basic survival things, and often simply didn't have the energy to do much ourselves.

Sending many caring thoughts to your friends.
